About The Position

Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service in a Fast & Fresh store. Operates the cash register and scans products, supports inventory and merchandise handling, maintains store cleanliness, and replenishes supplies in the store and at the pumps. The role works in a fast-paced environment and has daily contact with customers, co-workers, suppliers/vendors, and the general public. Employment is contingent on successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
No education or experience requirements.
Ability to solve practical problems involving a variety of variables with limited standardization and interpret instructions.
Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Ability to file, post, and mail materials; copy data between records; interview to obtain basic information; and guide people or provide basic direction.
Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions.
Visual ability to see from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet, with or without correction, including depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, treating customers with care, concern, and patience.
Greet customers, learn and use their names when possible, and help them find or reach products, handle heavy items, and share suggestions or requests.
Answer customer telephone calls promptly and provide helpful service.
Work with co-workers to support customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
Operate the cash register accurately, scan products where applicable, and report improper cash levels.
Redeem coupons and food stamps; receive cash and checks; process credit-card and in-store charge transactions; calculate discounts; count back change; and issue receipts.
Bag or box merchandise and give packages to customers.
Assist with department inventory; receive and check in deliveries; store merchandise appropriately; fill displays and stock shelves.
Maintain the lot, including shoveling snow, spreading ice melt, and hosing down the area.
Fill outside towel holders and replenish or refresh window washer fluid.
Remove indoor and outdoor trash promptly.
Check in and put away products and, when needed, review invoices.
Follow sanitation procedures and keep work areas clean and neat, including registers, restrooms, break room, and backroom; sweep and mop floors and replenish supplies.
Follow department and company guidelines for personal hygiene, dress, and workplace conduct.
Report to work as scheduled and on time.
Order merchandise and supplies as needed.
Price products for customers as necessary.
Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
