About The Position

Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service while supporting the operation of a Fast & Fresh store. The role includes accurately operating the cash register and scanning products, maintaining cleanliness, monitoring product quality and quantity, and meeting supply needs in the store and at the pumps. The position also assists with inventory, merchandise deliveries, stocking, and store and lot maintenance. No education or experience is required.

• Ability to solve practical problems involving a variety of variables with limited standardization and interpret instructions.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Ability to file, post, and mail materials; copy information between records; interview to obtain basic information; and guide people by providing basic direction.
• Ability to perform medium physical work: exert up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
• Visual ability to see at distances from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet, with or without correction, and to use depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, friendly customer service and help customers find or handle products.
• Greet customers, answer calls, and work with co-workers to support customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Operate the cash register, scan products, handle payments and coupons, calculate discounts, give change, and issue receipts.
• Assist with department inventory, receive and check deliveries, put away products, stock shelves and displays, and review invoices when needed.
• Maintain the lot, including shoveling snow, spreading ice melt, hosing down the lot, replenishing towel holders, and refreshing window washer fluid.
• Remove trash and clean registers, restrooms, the break room, backroom, and floors; follow sanitation procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Follow company and department policies, hygiene and dress guidelines, and scheduled work times.
• Order merchandise and supplies as needed, and price products for customers when necessary.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
