About The Position

KidsStreet Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing team in Columbus, GA. The FNP will provide patient-focused care, including urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. This role requires the ability to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The position is open to new graduates and offers comprehensive support, including HQ orientation, training shifts, a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course, and an NP on-call for clinical decision-making support. FNPs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages, from infants to geriatric individuals, which helps keep skills sharp and marketability high. The role emphasizes leadership, with FNPs acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic and a professional role model for their medical assistant team. KidsStreet is committed to supporting families in the community by providing accessible care, accepting Medicaid, and being open 362 days a year to avoid costly ER visits. Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers cost).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Conduct general orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
  • Handle general dermatology issues.
  • Address general eye problems.
  • Perform general EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize emergency management skills.
  • Provide general GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct telemedicine appointments.
