About The Position

KidsStreet Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing team in Charlotte, NC. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care to help patients feel better quickly. The services offered include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care setting. This opportunity is open to new graduates and provides comprehensive on-site orientation, training shifts with experienced providers, a complimentary pediatric urgent care course, and access to an on-call provider for clinical decision-making support. FNPs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages, from infants to geriatric individuals, which helps keep skills sharp and enhances marketability. The role emphasizes leadership, with providers acting as the primary medical decision-maker in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and a team of medical assistants. A rewarding aspect of the role is mentoring medical assistants. KidsStreet Urgent Care serves families in the community, accepting Medicaid and providing care for children of all ages, acting as a safety net for parents. The clinic is open 362 days a year, offering an alternative to high-cost ER visits. Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required
  • MSN, or higher education required
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (we cover the cost of the certification)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
  • Handle General Dermatology.
  • Address General eye problems.
  • Perform General EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize Emergency management skills.
  • Demonstrate General GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide Occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct Telemedicine services.
