About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is growing and looking to hire a fast, fun, and friendly Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their team full time in Locust, NC. The role focuses on providing patient-focused care to help patients feel better FAST. Services include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal applicant will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment. This opportunity is open to new graduates, with support provided through on-site HQ orientation, training shifts with existing providers, a complimentary pediatric urgent care course, and an on-call provider for clinical decision-making support. The position allows FNPs to utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages (babies, kids, adults, and geriatric patients), which helps keep skills sharp and marketability high. Providers are the medical leaders in the clinic, with treatment protocols available to guide decision-making, and the opportunity to grow and inspire medical assistants. MainStreet clinics support rural communities with limited access to care, operating 362 days a year. Many clinics qualify for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants, and the company assists with the application process. This role is presented as a two-year commitment with significant returns for career growth.

Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required
  • MSN, or higher education required
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (company covers cost)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review of x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
  • Handle General Dermatology issues.
  • Address General eye problems.
  • Perform General EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize Emergency management skills.
  • Demonstrate General GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide Occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct Telemedicine appointments.
