About The Position

Stellar Senior Living is seeking a Family Advisor for a large senior living community in Las Vegas, Nevada. The role plans and coordinates admissions to the facility, including seeking or receiving inquiries and documenting information about prospective residents. The Family Advisor screens referrals, coordinates communication from physicians, documents admission and discharge activity, and participates in community marketing efforts.

Requirements

• Demonstrated current knowledge of state and regulatory requirements related to admissions, discharge, and transfer.
• Current knowledge and understanding of payment systems, including HMO, PPO, indemnity, workers' compensation, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• At least one year of experience in the health care field; long-term care experience is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills for communicating with health care professionals, prospective residents, family members, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Seek or receive inquiries and document information for potential residents being considered for admission.
• Screen and evaluate each referral and determine whether the prospective resident meets criteria for transfer and admission.
• Coordinate all communication received from physicians.
• Document all admission and discharge activity.
• Conduct marketing efforts in the community.
