Factory Transformation Lead

Blue Origin•Space Coast, FL

About The Position

The Factory Transformation Lead drives factory-floor transformation to support higher production rates. The role designs production flow and standard work and leads the process aspects of work center moves so that capacity increases without reducing output. It serves as the team's formal interface to the Site Lead and is part of Blue Origin Operations, which supports manufacturing and supply chain across Blue Origin facilities. The position contributes to safe, repeatable manufacturing and the company's goal of lowering the cost of access to space. The role analyzes production flow, cycle times, and bottlenecks; develops future-state material flow and factory standard work within the framework owned by Role 2; and plans and leads work center relocations, including sequencing, risk mitigation, and re-qualification needs. It owns the factory transformation roadmap and aligns it with the capacity forecast, provides process requirements and flow constraints to the Site Lead for layout, space, and capital scope, supplies technical analysis for Kaizen workshops led by Role 2, and provides process inputs to the capacity model and Make-Buy Optimization. Expected first-year outcomes include completing constraint analysis for the highest-priority production areas by day 90, planning and executing one work center relocation with no schedule loss, aligning the factory transformation roadmap with the capacity forecast, and agreeing on a written handoff process with the Site Lead.
