About The Position

The Transformation Strategy Lead joins Humana’s Transformation Office, a high-performing team that works with senior leaders to shape the company’s future and execute enterprise strategy. The team identifies opportunities, designs solutions, and implements initiatives intended to improve the experiences of members, patients, providers, and associates. Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Transformation, this role supports fast-paced, high-visibility projects tied to the company’s transformation priorities. The work may include solving complex business problems, developing industry analyses and financial or business cases, conducting quantitative and qualitative research, managing cross-functional workstreams, and turning findings into executive-level recommendations and presentations. The role requires strategic thinking, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adaptability in ambiguous environments, and the ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex information clearly. The position is based in Louisville, Kentucky, or Arlington, Virginia, with a hybrid arrangement requiring three days per week in the office. Remote work from New York will be considered, though the Washington, DC metro area and Louisville are preferred. Relocation assistance is available. Occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required. The role is scheduled for 40 hours per week and is eligible for a performance-based bonus incentive plan.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience, or a master’s degree with at least 3 years of experience.
Experience in management consulting or strategy/operations consulting, solving complex business problems and supporting enterprise-level strategic or operational initiatives, and/or healthcare industry experience in strategy, operations, analytics, or enterprise transformation.
Experience developing business recommendations through structured, hypothesis-driven problem solving and quantitative analysis.
Strong analytical capabilities, including data interpretation, business case development, financial modeling, and research.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional or enterprise-level workstreams and influence stakeholders through data-driven recommendations.
Strong executive storytelling and communication skills, including developing and presenting PowerPoint materials for senior leadership.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, balance multiple priorities, and produce high-quality work.

Nice To Haves

Healthcare payer experience, including familiarity with health plan operations, business models, and/or economics.
Experience in a top-tier management consulting environment or comparable strategy/operations consulting setting.
Experience solving complex healthcare strategy, operations, cost, growth, or performance improvement challenges.
Advanced degree such as an MBA, MHA, MPH, or related graduate degree.

Responsibilities
