About The Position

The Facilities Custodian is a key part of our operations team, responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and organized working environment within our manufacturing facility. This role involves comprehensive shop floor upkeep, machinery maintenance, and the safe handling of industrial waste. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of industrial cleaning protocols and a commitment to maintaining an efficient and well-organized workspace.

• High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be either; US Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Responsibilities

• Perform all janitorial duties on the shop floor, including sweeping, mopping, and floor scrubbing to remove debris, oil, grease, and coolant spills.
• Operate a forklift to collect and transport metal recycling, ensuring proper sorting and storage.
• Ensure the proper disposal of all industrial waste materials, including metal shavings, and regularly empty trash and waste receptacles.
• Clean and maintain all machinery and tools, including CNC machines, milling machines, and lathes, using appropriate cleaning solutions and techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness in all common facility areas, including restrooms, office spaces, and employee break rooms.
• Strictly adhere to all company safety protocols, utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
