About The Position

ServiceFM (SFM), a family-owned company serving nonprofit organizations throughout Middle Tennessee, is seeking a dependable Custodian to provide general cleaning and floor care at an educational facility in the Brentwood area. The role helps maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for students, faculty, and visitors. Work includes cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and common areas; caring for floors and carpets; and assisting with furniture setup and porter duties. The position is part time, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., for 20 or more hours per week. Additional hours may be available. Occasional evening and weekend work is required to support special events throughout the year. Compensation is $18.00 per hour, with a semiannual custodian incentive bonus of up to an additional $0.50 per hour. Requirements

Successfully pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check required for school employment.
Ability to perform physical work, including walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, and pulling.
Reliable, dependable, and committed to excellent customer service.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic smartphone or computer skills to record work hours accurately.
Ability to work in a smoke-free, tobacco-free, and drug-free environment.

Responsibilities

Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and common areas.
Sweep, vacuum, dust, wet mop, and dry mop floors.
Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
Clean windows, doors, and other interior surfaces.
Remove debris from building entrances and surrounding grounds.
Set up and break down tables, chairs, and furniture for school events.
Perform periodic floor care and carpet maintenance during school breaks.
Perform porter duties, including moving boxes, furniture, and supplies, and complete other assigned tasks as needed.
Follow company safety procedures, cleaning standards, and quality expectations.
