Facilities Custodian (Pitman Day Shift)

About The Position

The Facilities Custodian is responsible for maintaining safe, productive working conditions at Silfab Solar through keeping the workplace clean, orderly, and well-maintained. The role includes cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, break rooms, and common areas; handling waste and recycling; supporting a packaging reuse program; and maintaining outdoor grounds and walkways. The custodian ensures sanitation and quality standards are met, follows directions, and may perform additional assigned tasks such as warehouse cleaning.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow directions closely.
Ability to read and write in English.
Ability to self-start and work independently.
High level of attention to detail to ensure sanitation and quality standards are met.
Working knowledge of cleaning products used for cleaning and sanitation.
Knowledge and use of small hand power tools, such as drills, roto hammers, snow blowers, and pressure washers.
Minor plumbing and carpentry skills.
Ability to paint and repair walls.

Nice To Haves

One or more years of experience in custodial services.

Responsibilities

Clean, sanitize, and restock paper supplies in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
Sweep and mop restrooms, break rooms, common areas, and other areas as needed.
Dispose of trash and recyclables from restrooms, break rooms, common areas, and production lines in accordance with Toward Zero Waste regulations.
Process materials for the packaging reuse program by sorting, vacuuming, and brushing module corner protector pieces and boxing them for reuse.
Maintain outside grounds by picking up trash, cleaning ground drains, and sweeping walkways and shipping areas.
Keep the parking lot free of litter and debris.
Ensure sanitation and quality standards are met.
Perform other duties assigned by management, which may include sweeping and mopping warehouses.
