About The Position

ServiceFM is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Custodian to provide general cleaning and floor care at an educational facility in the Brentwood area. The role helps maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for students, faculty, and visitors. The schedule is 20+ hours per week, Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with opportunities for additional hours and occasional evening and weekend work to support special events throughout the year. Compensation is $18.00 per hour, with a semiannual custodian incentive bonus of up to an additional $0.50 per hour. The position requires passing a fingerprint-based criminal background check for school employment and working in a smoke-free, tobacco-free, and drug-free environment.

Requirements

Successfully pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check required for school employment.
Ability to perform physical work, including walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, and pulling.
Reliable, dependable, and committed to excellent customer service.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic smartphone or computer skills to record work hours accurately.
Ability to work in a smoke-free, tobacco-free, and drug-free environment.

Responsibilities

Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and common areas.
Sweep, vacuum, dust, wet mop, and dry mop floors.
Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
Clean windows, doors, and other interior surfaces.
Remove debris from building entrances and surrounding grounds.
Set up and break down tables, chairs, and furniture for school events.
Perform periodic floor care and carpet maintenance during school breaks.
Perform porter duties, including moving boxes, furniture, and supplies, and complete other assigned tasks as needed.
Follow company safety procedures, cleaning standards, and quality expectations.
