About The Position

Kemper is hiring an Express Adjuster to investigate and resolve first- and third-party auto physical damage claims in a fast-paced, in-office setting. The role involves attempting immediate contact to confirm and review coverage. This is an entry-level position performed under direct supervision. The position offers a salary range of $18.56 to $31.46. Candidate offers consider experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, among other factors. The role is eligible for Kemper’s benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and a 401(k).

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 6 months of entry-level claims handling or claims intake experience, or a college degree of 2 or more years in lieu of that experience.
Obtain and maintain a valid insurance adjuster’s license as required by location and claim assignment; licensing is required for McAllen and Birmingham.
Passion for delivering outstanding customer service to agents and customers.
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a team-oriented approach.
Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual Spanish.
Experience in non-standard auto.

Responsibilities

Handle the intake, investigation, valuation, exposure establishment, and settlement of assigned claims within stipulated monetary authority.
Conclude assigned claims promptly, equitably, and economically, in accordance with the policy contract and damages presented.
Take statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses to investigate losses.
Reserve exposures accurately and on time.
Deliver a best-in-class customer service experience to internal and external customers, including current and prospective Kemper customers.
