About The Position

Kemper is seeking an entry-level Express Adjuster to investigate and resolve first- and third-party auto physical damage claims in a fast-paced, in-office setting. The position involves attempting immediate contact to confirm and review coverage and is performed under direct supervision. The adjuster is responsible for handling assigned claims within stipulated monetary authority and concluding them promptly, equitably, and economically in accordance with the policy contract and damages presented. The role also delivers customer service to internal and external customers, agents, and prospective customers.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 6 months of entry-level claims handling or claims intake experience, or a two-year college degree in lieu of experience.
Obtain and maintain a valid insurance adjuster’s license when required for the location and claim assignment; licensing is required in McAllen and Birmingham.
Passion for delivering outstanding customer service to agents and customers.
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a team-oriented approach.
Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual Spanish.
Experience in non-standard auto.

Responsibilities

Handle intake, investigation, valuation, exposure establishment, and settlement of assigned claims within stipulated monetary authority.
Conclude assigned claims promptly, equitably, and economically in accordance with the policy contract and damages presented.
Take statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses to investigate losses.
Set claim reserves accurately and on time.
Provide customer service to internal and external customers, agents, and prospective customers.
