About The Position

The Express Adjuster investigates and resolves first- and third-party auto physical damage claims in a fast-paced, in-office setting. The role involves attempting immediate contact to confirm and review coverage. This is an entry-level position performed under direct supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of entry-level claims handling or claims intake experience, or a college degree requiring 2 or more years of study in lieu of experience.
• Obtain and maintain a valid insurance adjuster’s license as required by location and claim assignment; required in McAllen and Birmingham.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a team-oriented approach.
• Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer service to agents and customers.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual Spanish.
• Experience in non-standard auto.

Responsibilities

• Handle intake, investigation, valuation, exposure establishment, and settlement of assigned claims within stipulated monetary authority.
• Conclude assigned claims promptly, equitably, and economically, in accordance with policy provisions and the damages presented.
• Take statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses to investigate losses.
• Reserve exposures accurately and in a timely manner.
• Deliver a best-in-class customer service experience to internal and external customers, including current and prospective Kemper customers.
