About The Position
The Express Adjuster investigates and resolves first- and third-party auto physical damage claims in a fast-paced, in-office setting. The role involves attempting immediate contact to confirm and review coverage and is an entry-level position performed under direct supervision.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 6 months of entry-level claims handling or claims intake experience, or a college degree of 2+ years in lieu of experience.
- Obtain and maintain a valid insurance adjuster's license where required based on location and claim assignment; licensing is required in McAllen and Birmingham.
- Strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service to agents and customers.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a team-oriented approach.
- Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual Spanish.
- Experience in non-standard auto.
Responsibilities
- Handle the intake, investigation, valuation, exposure establishment, and settlement of assigned claims within stipulated monetary authority.
- Conclude assigned claims promptly, equitably, and economically in accordance with the policy contract and damages presented.
- Take statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses to investigate losses.
- Reserve exposures accurately and on time.
- Provide best-in-class customer service to internal and external customers, including current and prospective Kemper customers.
