About The Position

The Experienced Server provides quick, efficient, and pleasant food and beverage service to residents and guests at a retirement community, ensuring their needs are met. The position is part-time, scheduled for 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with weekend availability required and 20 or more hours per week. Team members are expected to support the community’s mission to brighten and enrich the lives of those it serves through Hospitality, Excellence, Appreciation, Respect, and Teamwork.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience as a server; fine-dining experience is preferred.
• Complete food safety training and obtain or hold any required local, state, or county food-handling or sanitation licenses and certificates.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in English.
• Have basic computer skills to use POS and payroll systems.
• Be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Be able to solve practical problems and handle situations with limited standardization.
• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Accept food orders, communicate them to the kitchen, and deliver food and beverages to residents and guests in a timely manner.
• Respond quickly to residents’ and guests’ needs and requests to ensure their satisfaction.
• Bus and reset tables and complete assigned side work.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers.
