About The Position

The Pet Groomer provides full-service dog grooming in a safe, welcoming salon, helping pets look and feel their best while building lasting relationships with their owners. Work includes grooming to breed standards or customizing styles to meet pet parents’ requests, and delivering neighborly service in a pet-first, people-first environment. The role also supports the store team and events, helps develop a client base, and offers ongoing opportunities to develop grooming skills.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional pet grooming, dog grooming, or pet stylist experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with breed-standard cuts, hand scissoring, clipping, and finishing techniques.
• Strong understanding of animal behavior and safe handling practices.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle pets or equipment weighing up to 65 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
• Ability to provide personal grooming tools and equipment, such as clippers, blades, and shears.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to meet hiring requirements set by the local franchise owner.

• Provide full-service dog grooming, including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling.
• Groom to breed standards or customize grooming based on each pet parent’s request.

• Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of pets in your care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized grooming salon.
• Build relationships with pet owners and recommend pet products and services.
• Support store events and grow a client base through good service.
• Assist store team members as needed during grooming downtime.
• Continue developing grooming techniques and skills.
