Experienced "Casual" Floral Designers Needed
About The Position
Royer’s Flowers & Gifts is hiring experienced floral designers to work intermittently on an as-needed basis at its retail locations. Work is needed during floral holidays and other busy periods throughout the year, with schedules varying according to business needs and a mutually agreed number of hours per day and days per week. Overtime may be scheduled based on availability. The designer works in a store creating fresh-flower designs according to specifications and may perform other duties as assigned. The role requires at least one year of floral industry experience, knowledge of fresh-flower varieties, and the ability to meet the physical demands of standing for up to 8–10 hours and lifting 50 pounds or more.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least one year of floral industry experience.
- Ability to design according to specifications.
- Knowledge of the many different varieties of fresh flowers.
- Ability to make decisions, communicate effectively, take direction, and work unsupervised.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to stand for up to 8–10 hours.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
