About The Position

TheKey is hiring caregivers to provide one-to-one, in-home support to aging adults in McMinnville and surrounding communities. The role includes personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. TheKey describes its local teams as providing support to caregivers and care intended to promote clients’ quality of life, mind, body, and spirit. Weekend coverage, weekday daytime shifts, and overnights are available; full-time and part-time schedules are offered.

Requirements

At least 6 months of professional caregiving experience.
Alzheimer’s or dementia experience.
Empathy, compassion, and kindness.
Ability to use sound judgment and remain calm in a variety of situations.
Reliability, dependability, and punctuality.
At least 18 years of age.
Basic computer skills.
For driving clients: a vehicle, car insurance, and vehicle registration.
Comply with state background screening requirements.
Be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Perform light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments, run errands, and grocery shop.
Provide companionship through games, puzzles, and other activities that offer social and emotional support.
