About The Position

Carvana is seeking experienced automotive mechanics to perform a full range of automotive repairs and diagnostics on vehicles at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. Work ranges from light maintenance to complex repairs on all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, heavy engine work, advanced electrical issues, electric and hybrid vehicles, wheel bearings, axles, and climate control systems such as air conditioners and heater cores. The role offers a competitive wage, company-paid healthcare, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) with a Carvana match, and a vehicle purchase discount. The listed pay range is $25.00 to $39.00. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Perform general and complex automotive repairs on all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles.
Repair wheel bearings and axles.
