About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Experienced Automotive Technician to perform a full range of automotive repairs and diagnostics on vehicles at a high-tech Inspection Center. Work ranges from light maintenance to complex repairs on all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, heavy engine work, advanced electrical issues, electric and hybrid vehicles, wheel bearings, axles, and climate control systems such as air conditioners and heater cores. The role offers a pay range of $25.00 to $39.00 per hour and may include a sign-on bonus of up to $6,000. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and sometimes be exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Use safety equipment as needed, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including those involving electric and hybrid vehicles.
Repair wheel bearings and axles.
Repair vehicle climate control systems, including air conditioners and heater cores.
Work in a production environment to help prepare vehicles for customers.
