Senior Automotive Technician (Up to $6,000 Sign on Bonus)

About The Position

Carvana is seeking experienced automotive mechanics with at least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience. The technician performs a full range of repairs, from light maintenance to heavy engine work, and diagnoses vehicles of all makes and models. Work includes advanced electrical diagnostics and repairs, including on electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as repairs to wheel bearings, axles, and climate control systems. The role is based in a high-tech vehicle Inspection Center and uses state-of-the-art tools. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes while exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Perform general to complex repairs on vehicles of all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles.
Repair wheel bearings and axles.
Repair vehicle climate control systems, including air conditioning and heater cores.
