About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Automotive Diagnostic Tech to perform a full range of automotive repairs and diagnostics on vehicles at a high-tech Inspection Center. Work ranges from light maintenance to complex repairs, including heavy engine work, advanced electrical diagnostics, and repairs to electric and hybrid vehicles. Technicians also work on wheel bearings, axles, and climate control systems, including air conditioning and heater cores. Carvana offers training programs for entry-level employees to support the development of their skills and pay. The role is in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to heat or cold. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Perform general and complex repairs on vehicles of all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles.
Repair wheel bearings and axles.
Repair vehicle climate control systems, including air conditioning and heater cores.
Work in a fast-paced production environment to help prepare vehicles for customers.
