About The Position

Atlantic Coast Enterprises is hiring a full-time Experienced Auto Mechanic / Automotive Technician in the West Springfield, Massachusetts area. The role involves diagnosing and repairing vehicles, performing regular maintenance, explaining repair options to customers, and delivering fast, friendly, professional service. The position offers a five-day work week and hourly, non-flat-rate pay of $18–$24, depending on experience and certifications. Technicians also earn commissions every two weeks based on store-level automotive repair net sales, with stated commission amounts of $400–$1,400. Hourly pay and commissions may lead to annual compensation above $100,000. Employees can also receive $500 one-time bonuses for certifications earned while employed.

Requirements

At least 18 years old.
Current AATI or ASE certifications.
Valid driver's license.
Brake work experience.
Own tools.
Honesty and reliability.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Service orientation and attention to detail.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Ability to explain technical information in layman's terms.

Responsibilities

Diagnose vehicle problems and resolve a range of mechanical issues.
