Experienced Auto Body Tech - 2nd Shift Mon to Thur
About The Position
Carvana is hiring an experienced autobody technician to perform extensive bodywork on multiple vehicle panels and train other autobody technicians. The work takes place in one of Carvana’s high-tech Inspection Centers, using state-of-the-art tools. The role requires at least five years of professional automotive bodywork experience. The schedule is Monday through Thursday on second shift. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. The position involves working in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may include exposure to excessive heat or cold. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship; applicants must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
- Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
- At least 18 years of age and possession of a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
- Ability to use safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must pass a complete background check.
- The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Train other autobody technicians.
- Perform extensive bodywork on multiple panels, including heavy plastic welding and stapling; heavy metal pulling, straightening, shrinking, and stud welding; roof and rocker panel repair; and large-area heavy bodywork, including Bondo repair.
- Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
