About The Position

Rocket Farm Restaurants is seeking an Executive Sous Chef for Superica in Charlotte’s Strawberry Hill neighborhood. Superica serves Tex-Mex cuisine for brunch, lunch, and dinner in an Old-West-inspired, upbeat setting. The Executive Sous Chef directly oversees day-to-day operations across all kitchen areas, including production and prep, private parties and special events, stewarding, purchasing, and receiving. This role ensures the culinary team can prepare menu items to the highest standards and effectively and professionally runs the kitchen when the Executive Chef is absent. The ideal candidate stays calm under pressure, leads a cohesive team, manages the culinary budget, and closely monitors labor, scheduling, and overtime to support productivity and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

Five years of progressive culinary experience preferred, including two years in a Sous Chef capacity.
Ability to work calmly under pressure and lead a cohesive team.
Ability to manage a culinary budget and monitor labor, scheduling, and overtime.
