About The Position
Rocket Farm Restaurants is seeking an enthusiastic Sous Chef to manage hourly back-of-house staff and assist with day-to-day kitchen operations, including production, preparation, stewarding, purchasing, and receiving. The Sous Chef ensures line cooks are trained to prepare menu items according to established recipes for consistent presentation and flavor. In the Executive Chef’s absence, the Sous Chef leads the kitchen, proactively handles obstacles, and resolves issues. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who can maintain, motivate, and inspire a cohesive team while working calmly under pressure.
Requirements
- Three years of progressive culinary experience preferred, including at least one year as a Lead Cook or Sous Chef.

Responsibilities
- Manage hourly back-of-house staff.
- Assist with day-to-day kitchen operations, including production, prep, stewarding, purchasing, and receiving.

- Lead the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef.
- Proactively handle obstacles and resolve potential issues.
