About The Position

KFOX14/CBS4 is hiring a Digital Executive Producer to direct and supervise content across digital and social platforms. The role upholds high journalistic standards of professionalism and ethics, with fairness, balance, creativity, and accuracy across all products. The Digital Executive Producer guides and supports the digital team and the broader content center in producing daily news and special content, fosters a positive, productive, and creative team environment, and ensures digital and social platforms remain relevant, competitive, timely, and audience-focused.

Requirements

At least 5 years in a television newsroom environment or equivalent.
Strong AP-style writing skills.
Proven track record for getting results on station goals.
Ability to interpret a content brand without resorting to clickbait.
Ability to use digital analytics and apply them to set goals.
Strong understanding of how to grow and maintain digital and social traffic.
Extraordinary people skills, especially coaching, motivating, and teaching.

Nice To Haves

Management experience creating engaging content across multiple platforms.
A college degree in Journalism or a related field.

Responsibilities

Directly supervise digital producers and collaborate with newsroom staff; review stories and provide feedback to encourage powerful, visual storytelling.
Manage and coordinate breaking news.
Collaborate with the News Director, news managers, and other station personnel as assigned.
Plan, execute, and oversee continuity and strategy for website and social platforms.
Coach and manage the team by providing ongoing feedback, completing annual reviews, facilitating schedules and time cards, and supporting training and development.
Maintain high standards of journalistic professionalism and ethics, including fairness, balance, creativity, and accuracy across content.
Foster a positive, productive, and creative team environment and keep digital and social platforms relevant, competitive, timely, and focused on serving the audience.
