About The Position

KFOX14/CBS4 is hiring a Digital Executive Producer to direct and supervise content across digital and social platforms. The role guides and supports the digital team and the overall content center in producing daily news and special content while maintaining high journalistic standards, including fairness, balance, creativity, accuracy, professionalism, and ethics. The Digital Executive Producer fosters a positive, productive, and creative team environment and ensures the station’s digital and social platforms remain relevant, competitive, timely, and focused on serving the audience. The position includes supervising digital producers, coordinating breaking news, overseeing website and social-platform strategy and continuity, and collaborating with newsroom leaders and colleagues. It also involves coaching and developing the team, providing feedback, conducting annual reviews, and managing schedules and time cards.

Requirements

At least 5 years in a television newsroom environment or equivalent.
Strong AP-style writing skills.
A proven track record for getting results on station goals.
Understanding of how to interpret a content brand without resorting to clickbait.
Ability to utilize digital analytics and apply them to set goals.

A college degree in Journalism or a related field.

Responsibilities

Directly supervise digital producers and collaborate with newsroom staff.
Review stories and provide feedback to encourage powerful, visual storytelling.
Manage and coordinate breaking news.
Collaborate with the News Director, news managers, and other station personnel as assigned.
Plan, execute, and oversee continuity and strategy for website and social platforms.
Coach team members, provide ongoing feedback, complete annual reviews, facilitate schedules and time cards, and support training and development.
Help maintain relevant, competitive, and timely digital and social platforms while serving the audience.
