About The Position

The Digital Executive Producer leads WAFF’s daily social media plan, deciding which stories go on which platforms and tailoring content strategically for each platform. The role ensures the team is responsive on streaming by providing live coverage and continuously updating content in the Streaming Center. The Digital Executive Producer collaborates closely with other news managers as a content expert and works with reporters throughout the day on story development and execution.

The role monitors analytics to inform digital strategy, leads breaking news coverage across digital, social, and streaming platforms, drives SEO best practices and audience growth, and trains and coaches digital staff. It also reviews scripts for legality, grammar, accuracy, fairness, and tone to ensure stories are appropriate for the audience.

Requirements

• Background as a Digital Content Producer, Digital Manager, or Executive Producer at a television station.
• Strong news judgment, leadership, and multi-platform expertise.
