Executive Loan Officer (Chicago, IL)
About The Position
The Executive Loan Officer is the face of Rocket Mortgage to clients. As a licensed mortgage loan originator, this role uses knowledge of loan programs, guidelines, mortgage documents, and the home-buying process to guide clients through obtaining a mortgage and achieving their goals. The position supports clients from application through closing, evaluates their financial circumstances and documents, and recommends appropriate financing. It also develops referral relationships and a book of business, markets Rocket Mortgage, educates clients, and represents the brand in community and civic settings.
Requirements
- Experience in mortgage loan origination.
- State and federal licenses.
- Proven track record of obtaining referrals and generating lead volume.
- Professional communication, time management, results-driven, teamwork, and critical/strategic thinking skills.

Responsibilities
- Assist clients through the loan process from application to closing, including resolving client concerns.
- Build and maintain relationships with real estate agents, investment advisors, accountants, other professionals, friends, family, and closed clients to market the Rocket brand and help clients obtain suitable real estate financing.
- Consult with clients and analyze their financial situations to determine an appropriate loan product.
- Evaluate clients’ financial status and documents, including credit, employment, income, assets, and property, to determine whether they qualify for financing.
- Cultivate relationships with mortgage referral sources and market the value of working with Rocket Mortgage.
- Advise and educate clients on the home-buying or refinance process and on how to better manage their mortgage.
- Establish, develop, and maintain a book of business to drive referral volume and revenue.
- Provide referral sources and clients with high-quality client service.
- Stay up to date on Rocket Mortgage product offerings, qualifying parameters, and process changes.
- Represent the Rocket brand at civic and community functions to support business development and drive lead flow to the branch.
