About The Position

Roto-Rooter is hiring an Excavation Technician/Laborer to perform residential and commercial excavations for sewer and water service repairs or replacements. The role addresses plumbing issues caused by compromised or broken plumbing lines. Work includes excavation followed by pipe repairs or new pipe installations, operating excavation machinery, working in confined spaces and open trenches, and safely traveling between job sites. The position requires flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.

Requirements

Hands-on experience in excavation projects in residential and commercial construction settings.
Valid driver's license.
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively in excavation environments, including confined spaces and trenches.
Current CDL or ability to obtain one within 90 days if required for the vehicle driven.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Trenchless water, sewer, and gas experience.

Responsibilities

Strictly follow OSHA and Roto-Rooter safety protocols.
Interact with customers as needed.
Perform excavation work followed by pipe repairs or new pipe installations.
Operate backhoes, mini-excavators, skid steers, and other excavation machinery equipped with scoops, shovels, or buckets to excavate and load loose materials.
Work in confined spaces and open trenches.
Locate and arrive at job sites on time.
Safely drive and operate a service vehicle between job sites.
Complete jobs within specified timelines.
