About The Position

Lemontree Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EVS Housekeeper for its Environmental Services team at North Shore Medical Center. The role maintains the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of patient rooms, public areas, and other designated spaces within the healthcare facility, meeting cleanliness and infection-control standards to support a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This is a full-time overnight position, scheduled Monday through Friday and every other weekend, from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The rate of pay is $15.00 per hour. The role involves routine cleaning and disinfection, floor care, waste and linen handling, supply restocking, following safety and infection-prevention protocols, respectful interactions with patients and others, and reporting quality or safety concerns. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or healthcare environmental-services experience is a plus but is not required. The job requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, push and pull heavy carts, and stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, and public areas according to infection-control and cleaning standards.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors using proper techniques to maintain cleanliness and safety.
Empty trash cans, replace liners, and transport waste to disposal areas.
Collect soiled linens and deliver them to the appropriate laundry facilities.
Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, and report shortages or issues to the EVS Supervisor.
Follow safety protocols, including using personal protective equipment (PPE), and keep cleaning equipment functioning and properly maintained.
Provide friendly and respectful service to patients, visitors, and staff while protecting patient confidentiality and dignity.
Respond to special cleaning requests in patient care areas.
Assist with quality assurance checks by reporting cleanliness concerns or safety hazards to the EVS Supervisor or Manager.
Follow healthcare facility policies, state regulations, and infection-prevention protocols.
