About The Position
Lemontree Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EVS Housekeeper to join its Environmental Services team. The role maintains the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of patient rooms, public areas, and other designated spaces in a healthcare facility. The Housekeeper helps ensure areas meet cleanliness and infection-control standards and supports a safe, healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, with every other weekend, on a 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. shift. The rate of pay is $15.00.
Requirements
- Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks independently.
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push or pull heavy carts.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services experience in a healthcare setting is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, and public areas according to established infection-control and cleaning standards.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors using appropriate techniques.
- Empty trash cans, replace liners, and transport waste to disposal areas.
- Collect soiled linens and deliver them to the appropriate laundry facilities.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, and report shortages or issues to the EVS Supervisor.
- Follow safety protocols, including use of personal protective equipment, and maintain cleaning equipment in good condition.
- Provide friendly and respectful service to patients, visitors, and staff while protecting patient confidentiality and dignity.
- Respond to special cleaning requests in patient care areas.
- Assist with quality assurance checks and report cleanliness concerns or safety hazards to the EVS Supervisor or Manager.
- Adhere to facility policies, state regulations, and infection-prevention protocols.
