About The Position

The EVS Custodian maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within a medical facility, supporting patient care by cleaning exam rooms, procedure rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces to healthcare standards. The role is suited to a detail-oriented, dependable person who is comfortable working in a fast-paced medical setting.

Requirements

• Previous experience in healthcare cleaning, Environmental Services (EVS), or custodial/janitorial work.
• Pass required background checks.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in surgical, medical, or clinical environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and detailed cleaning of clinical areas, including exam rooms, offices, restrooms, waiting rooms, and hallways.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces, equipment, and high-touch areas according to healthcare and infection-control protocols.
• Handle and properly dispose of regulated medical waste, including sharps containers and biohazard materials.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper products, sanitizing solutions, and PPE.
• Perform floor care, including mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, and spot cleaning.
• Empty trash and biomedical waste receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
