Events Marketing Manager

RerunSan Francisco, CA
Hybrid

About The Position

Rerun is building the data layer for physical AI, enabling robots, drones, and self-driving cars to process multimodal, multi-rate sensor streams. Their open source SDK is widely used by robotics teams for visualizing, logging, and querying this data. Building on this foundation, Rerun is developing Rerun Hub, a commercial data catalog and storage engine. This role is crucial for connecting with the community of robotics engineers, ML researchers, and builders who are developing physical AI. The Events Marketing Manager will be responsible for identifying key communities and locations, designing and executing events (both physical and virtual) to foster community engagement, and providing valuable content and social touchpoints. This position is ideal for someone who wants to design and lead a community program rather than manage an existing one.

  • Experience marketing to or building community for a technical audience at a B2B tech startup.
  • Proven experience organizing meetups, hackathons, workshops, dinners, or conferences.
  • Experience building recurring series or programs, not just one-off events.
  • Experience working closely with founders or engineering teams.
  • Experience with developer or open source communities is ideal.
  • Strong hospitality instincts and an eye for curated event experiences.
  • Comfortable travelling up to 40% of the time.
  • Genuine curiosity about robotics and physical AI.

Responsibilities

  • Map the physical AI landscape, identifying key cities, labs, companies, and communities.
  • Design and run developer events, both physical and virtual, including meetups, hack nights, and presence at industry conferences.
  • Build recurring programs that provide consistent content and social engagement for the community.
  • Partner with engineering and the founding team to develop technical content for events.
  • Represent Rerun within the robotics and physical AI community at conferences, meetups, and with open source contributors.
  • Coordinate with the founding team in Sweden and later with Rerun's VP of Marketing in San Francisco.
