Event Staff Security Officer

Andy Frain Services•Daytona Beach, FL

About The Position

The One Daytona Events Staff Officer is an event-based security position supporting safety, crowd management, guest service, access control, and property security during scheduled events at One Daytona. The position does not guarantee a set number of weekly hours; scheduling depends on the event calendar, anticipated attendance, operational needs, and the officer’s availability, reliability, and demonstrated performance. Officers who consistently arrive on time, maintain a professional appearance and conduct, follow instructions, interact well with guests, and complete assignments successfully may receive greater consideration for additional event and fill-in opportunities. The role combines a visible security presence with customer service and flexibility. Duties may include greeting and assisting fans, screening for prohibited items, ticket taking, ushering, guest services, crowd and pedestrian management, access control, monitoring for hazards or suspicious activity, and responding to incidents. Officers must remain aware of their surroundings, follow emergency procedures and the security chain of command, and help promote safe, positive guest experiences. Events take place at One Daytona, a large mixed-use property with retail, dining, entertainment, hotels, apartments, and the International Motorsports Center. Work may involve moving throughout the property and working outdoors in changing weather. Scheduling may vary and may include evenings, weekends, holidays, race weekends, and other high-attendance events. Officers are expected to report on time and remain for their entire assigned shift unless properly relieved or authorized to leave.
