About The Position

The Event Services Technician assists with floor operations in a hotel or hospitality environment, including setup, strike, and operation of event technology solutions. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service to guests and clients, supporting successful events, and maintaining equipment and company work areas. The technician works at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas, for Pinnacle Live, an in-house AV and event production company.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Prior exposure to the audio-visual and/or hospitality industry.
• Computer proficiency, including hardware, software, and networking.
• Strong technical aptitude.
• Ability to plan ahead and prioritize.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
• Strong customer focus.
• Strong team-player orientation.

Responsibilities

• Complete event setups and strikes according to company standard operating procedures.
• Greet guests and clients before events and explain how to operate equipment.
• Communicate with clients throughout events and follow through on their requests.
• Identify opportunities to enhance clients’ events.
• Maintain accurate client event information in company business systems.
• Review daily invoices with clients and obtain their signatures.
• Follow company security and safety measures and keep track of property inventory and equipment locations.
• Keep inventory secure from theft or damage and ensure equipment is in good working order and rental condition.
• Immediately report lost, stolen, or damaged equipment to management.
• Keep company-occupied areas clean, organized, and up to company standards.
• Continue developing technical skills in audio, video/data, staging, computer operation, and networking.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
