About The Position

The Event Services Technician assists with floor operations in a hotel or hospitality environment, including setup, strike, and operation of technology solutions. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service to guests and clients. The technician supports events, maintains accurate event information and equipment inventory, and works to continually improve technical skills across audio, video/data, staging, computer operation, and networking.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Prior exposure to the audiovisual and/or hospitality industry.
Computer proficiency, including hardware, software, and networking.
Strong technical aptitude.
Ability to plan ahead and prioritize.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
Strong customer focus.
Strong team-player orientation.

Responsibilities

Complete event setups and strikes according to Company SOPs.
Greet guests and clients before events and explain how to operate equipment.
Maintain communication with clients to help ensure successful events and follow through on requests.
Identify opportunities to enhance clients’ events.
Maintain accurate client event information in Company business systems.
Review daily invoices with clients and obtain their signatures.
Follow Company security and safety measures and keep track of property inventory and equipment locations.
Protect inventory from theft or damage and ensure equipment is in good working order and rental condition.
Immediately report lost, stolen, or damaged equipment to management.
Keep Company-occupied areas clean, organized, and up to Company standards.
Continually improve technical skills in audio, video/data, staging, computer operation, and networking.
Comply with Company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
