About The Position

Securitas USA is hiring a part-time Event Security Officer in Newport News, Virginia, at $20.00–$21.00 per hour. The role involves helping keep event sites safe and secure for guests, staff, and vendors by monitoring and reporting activities and incidents, patrolling event areas, watching for safety concerns, and providing assistance as needed. Officers must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods. Weekend availability is required, with flexible options to work every weekend, Saturdays, Sundays, or one to two weekends per month. Event work is scheduled as events arise. Training is provided.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Armed DCJS license.
• Exceptional customer service and a friendly, professional presence.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
• Weekend availability.

Responsibilities
