About The Position

Groovin' Gourmets, the catering division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, provides chef-crafted meals and service for corporate functions, weddings, and social events. The Event Bartender prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, supports event setup and breakdown, and helps provide guests with a positive experience. Scheduling is flexible, with occasional shifts and variable opportunities depending on the seasonal catering workload. The position pays $20 per hour, plus occasional tips.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of bartending experience.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Ability to bend, twist, lift at least 50 pounds, and stand for long periods.

• Bartending experience in a catering or banquet setting.

Responsibilities

• Review the event worksheet before arriving and become familiar with the event, timeline, bar type, and food.
• Check in with the Event Captain or Co-Captain upon arrival and departure.
• Help unload the Groovin' Gourmets vehicle and set up the bar area and appropriate glassware.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks during events.
• Answer guests' questions about drink ingredients and suggest beverages and cocktails.
• Verify that guests served alcohol are of legal drinking age.
• For cash-bar events, accept cash or credit-card payments using the Square app.
• Clean up the bar area and pack beer and wine into the appropriate boxes after the event.
• Assist with general event breakdown, including clearing food, plates, beverages, and debris and neatly stacking rentals in the appropriate location.
