On Call Event Bartender

About The Position

AutoCamp is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Bartender to support events. AutoCamp is a lifestyle hotel brand focused on upscale outdoor hospitality. This role maintains knowledge of beverage and menu offerings, event spaces, service procedures, equipment, and applicable liquor regulations. The bartender prepares and operates event bars, serves guests, manages transactions and inventory counts, and helps ensure guest satisfaction and clean, orderly service areas. The position also represents the AutoCamp brand with partners and local vendors and may handle special projects.

Requirements

Two years of experience as a bartender.
Ability to accurately compute and manipulate mathematical calculations.
Passion for hospitality and the great outdoors.
Strong relationship and negotiation skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion.
Working knowledge of cloud-based applications.
Thoroughness and attention to detail.
Ability and willingness to travel regularly.
Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
At least 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
Excellent, attentive customer service and a creative, solution-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

Follow departmental policies and service procedures and comply with state liquor regulations, including restrictions on serving minors and intoxicated persons.
Use the POS system for ordering, presenting checks, and processing payments; complete closing reports, total transactions and sales, report tips, count the bank, and complete cashier reports.
Maintain knowledge of liquor, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, wine, glassware, garnishes, menu items, prices, preparation, and service standards.
Maintain knowledge of event spaces, table and seat numbers, room capacity, operating hours, hotel and restaurant services, local attractions, and scheduled group activities.
Complete assigned side duties, including setup and breakdown of bars and event furniture; organize and prepare the bar before guests arrive.
Count alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at the start and end of the periods covered by the Banquet Event Order and requisition supplies as needed.
Greet guests, suggest and take beverage orders, relay specials, answer menu questions, make recommendations, and use upselling techniques.
Open and serve wines according to department standards.
Monitor guest needs, respond promptly, maintain positive guest relations, handle complaints, and work to ensure guest satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned stations and service areas; wash glassware and return clean items and event setups to storage.
Store deliveries appropriately, follow maintenance and cleaning schedules, document pertinent information in the F&B log book, and report maintenance needs.
Secure bar areas and return keys to their assigned location.
Attend scheduled meetings and menu and wine tastings, and participate in required conference calls.
Represent the AutoCamp brand with partnerships and local vendors and complete special projects as assigned.
