Field Technician - Richmond Hiring Event
About The Position
Field Technicians visit customers’ homes to solve problems and introduce customers to smart home technology. They install and service DISH equipment and smart home products, teach customers how to use their technology, and offer additional services when helpful. Technicians maintain a clean work area and a professional attitude while working independently and staying connected with the team. The role includes driving a company-provided vehicle to customer sites and regional offices, and may require travel as needed. EchoStar provides paid training in installation and service procedures, smart home technology, and practices developed by experienced technicians. Employment is contingent on completing a pre-employment screen, including a drug test and an acceptable driving record.
Requirements
- Have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
- Be willing to travel as needed.
- Be flexible to work shifts that might include evenings, weekends, or holidays.
- Be able to climb ladders up to 40 feet.
- Be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Meet and maintain a 335-pound weight limit.
- Demonstrate customer focus and the ability to build trust and create a great experience.
- Demonstrate problem-solving ability and determination to work in tight spaces and all kinds of weather.
- Be adaptable when handling changes and unexpected tasks.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment screen, including a drug test.
