About The Position

Proof of the Pudding is expanding into the greater Dallas area and is hiring additional Bartenders to join their Catering Events team. Bartenders will provide beverage setup and service support at events, including timely bar setup, guest service, communication with bar backs, and maintaining a clean, organized bar area. Responsibilities also include closing inventory, bar breakdown, and ensuring all items are properly stored after events. This position will be stationed out of the Gil’s Elegant Catering facility located in Grand Prairie, TX.

Requirements

2+ years of bartending experience
Must be a team player and a phenomenal communicator.
Must be experienced in preparing mixed drinks.
Must have exceptional customer service skills.
Must be TIPs certified (will accept similar accredited certifications).
Must be extremely hardworking and organized.
Must be exceedingly responsible and accountable.
Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene.
Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles required.
Must be comfortable commuting to Grand Prairie, TX.
Excellent listening and communication skills.
Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs.
Renowned time management and organization skills.
Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client’s needs.
The ability to work alone and as a team.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Must have impeccable integrity for the business, the community, and the Proof of the Pudding team.
Non-slip shoes are necessary.

Responsibilities

Responsible for both pre & post bar set-up/break down responsibilities.
Sets bar up in a timely manner.
Communicates well with bar back during event to assist them with replenishment during shift.
Greets all guests and gives exceptional customer service.
Attentive to guests needs throughout the entire event.
Cleans bar after closing, discard excess ice.
Record closing inventory used to balance bar consumption vs sales.
Responsible for placing all items back in bar box as originally received.
Performs other related duties as required
