About The Position

Proof of the Pudding, operator of DUKE University hospitality and concessions, is looking for Concessions Bartenders to provide strong customer service to all premium hospitality areas, at DUKE University’s athletic events. We are offering competitive pay and on-the-job training at one of the most scenic venues in North Carolina. This is seasonal/part-time work as business needs are dictated by athletic events.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent preferred
1+ years of bartending experience
Must be TIPs/TEAM certified (will accept Team certification or will provide training).
Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles required.
Must be extremely hardworking and organized.
Must be exceedingly responsible and accountable.
Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent listening and communication skills.
Renowned time management and organization skills.
Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client’s needs.
The ability to work alone and as a team.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Availability to work all home football games.
Live within or near Durham, NC.

Responsibilities

Responsible for both pre & post bar set-up/breakdown responsibilities.
Sets bar up in a timely manner, including icing down product.
Communicates well with bar back personnel during the event to assist them with replenishment during shift.
Greets all guests and gives exceptional customer service.
Attentive to guests needs throughout the entire event.
Cleans bar after closing, discard excess ice.
Record closing inventory
Responsible for putting away all inventory as directed.
Follows all federal, local, and venue alcohol policies.
Performs other related duties as required.
