About The Position

Hightop Hospitality is hiring an Event Bartender for its off-premise catering division, serving events across the Twin Cities metro area. The role involves preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, providing professional guest service, processing transactions, and helping set up, maintain, and break down bar stations at a variety of events and venues. Events include weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings. The position is year-round with variable hours, with peak activity from May through mid-October. Availability on Fridays and Saturdays during peak wedding season and Monday through Thursday for corporate and boutique social events is important. Additional opportunities may include delivery or drop-off and setup shifts, pre-event inventory packing, and bar preparation and drink batching.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to drive catering vehicles.

Nice To Haves

• Age 21 or older is preferred.
• 1–2 years of bartender experience is preferred.
• TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or another responsible beverage service certification is preferred.
• Availability on Fridays and Saturdays during peak wedding season and Monday through Thursday for corporate and boutique social events.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Provide friendly and professional guest service.
• Handle cash and operate POS systems to process transactions accurately and securely.
• Check IDs and follow safe alcohol service guidelines.
• Assist with loading and unloading inventory and supplies at the commissary kitchen.
• Set up and break down bar stations.
• Restock supplies throughout events.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Potentially assist with delivery or drop-off and setup shifts, pre-event inventory packing, and bar preparation and drink batching.
