The Systems Analyst Epic supports the design, build, testing, training, deployment, and ongoing support of Epic applications to optimize clinical and operational workflows. The role develops knowledge of healthcare workflows, system integration, and project delivery practices, partnering with operational leaders and end users to translate business requirements into reliable Epic configuration, integrations, and reporting. The work supports safe patient care, efficient revenue cycle operations, regulatory compliance, and service-level agreements for supported applications. Analysts work under the guidance of senior analysts, architects, and technical leads, follow standards that safeguard application integrity and security, and contribute to continuous improvement. The role has two closely related focus areas—Application Build and Application Training—with emphasis varying by team assignment. Both focus areas include stakeholder requirements gathering, workflow analysis, design documentation, project support, and maintaining system documentation. The Application Build focus configures and deploys Epic records, tools, and workflows; plans and executes testing; validates interfaces and downstream processes; coordinates releases and upgrades; provides go-live and ongoing support; and collaborates on integrations, data, compliance, and risk management. The Application Training focus supports role-based curriculum design and maintenance, training environment readiness, communications about releases, and management of training-related requests and incidents. The position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, healthcare administration, or a related field, plus 1–3 years of system/application analysis, support, or related IT experience; healthcare experience is preferred. In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of relevant experience may qualify. Epic application and healthcare workflow experience, requirements gathering, workflow design, testing, familiarity with ITIL/change control/SDLC/governance and project methodologies, clear communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration are required. Work shift is day, with 40 scheduled hours per week.
