About The Position

The Environmental Services Technician maintains a clean work environment in assigned areas of an inpatient rehabilitation hospital. The hospital provides care for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. This is a per diem position in Fort Wayne, Indiana, paying $18.00 per hour. Part-time and per-diem employees may be eligible for a 401(k) after reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year. The employer offers an extensive orientation program and potential advancement to full-time opportunities.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospital environmental services (EVS) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, which may include patient rooms, offices, nurses’ stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and the lobby.
• Help maintain a safe environment by promptly reporting unsafe conditions to a supervisor or appropriate department.
• Replenish supplies, including soap, towels, toilet tissue, and other disposable items.
