About The Position

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is hiring a Per Diem/PRN Environmental Services Technician for its inpatient rehabilitation hospital at 201 Pleasant Hill Road in Chester, New Jersey. The role is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and requires six shifts in each six-week schedule, including three Saturday or Sunday shifts. Compensation is $19.30 per hour plus a shift differential.

The technician helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming hospital environment that supports patient recovery and visitor satisfaction. The position includes cleaning patient rooms and common areas, maintaining floors and furnishings, replenishing supplies, reporting repair needs, and moving furniture when requested. Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience.
• Must be available to work six shifts per six-week schedule, including three Saturday or Sunday shifts.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous hospital environmental services (EVS) experience.

Responsibilities

• Help keep halls, stations, waiting rooms, and patient rooms clean to support patient recovery and visitor satisfaction.
• Report repair issues and needs daily or as needed to help maintain the quality and appearance of the physical plant.
• Dust mop and wet mop floors as necessary to keep them clean and safe.
• Clean and polish metal trim, furnishings, and equipment as necessary; wash walls, windows, and beds as assigned.
• Strip, wax, and buff floors as assigned, following safety precautions.
• Move furniture as requested.
• Replenish supplies, including soap, towels, toilet tissue, and other disposable items.
